When Nancy Hanks (Hall) (Friend) was born on February 5, 1780, in Amelia, Virginia, her father, Joseph, was 54, and her mother, Anna, was 52. She married Charles Dennis Friend and they had one son together. She then married Levi Hall and they had five children together. She died on October 5, 1829, in Gentryville, Indiana, at the age of 49, and was buried in Lincoln City, Indiana.
