John Bailey Notes on his Death
<p></p><p></p><p>Notes taken from the book &quot;Bailey Genealogy: James, John and Thomas, and Their Descendants&quot;</p><p> </p><p></p><p>Page 3;   John Bailey served as a soldier under General Phipps in the expedition against Canada in 1690, and perished coming from Canada, November 19, 1690.  His widow was appointed administratrix of his estate, as appears by the records of the Probate Court at Salem, Mass.  She died about 1693.  </p>

When John Bailey was born on December 2, 1642, in Rowley, Massachusetts, his father, James, was 30 and his mother, Lydia, was 26. He married Mary Mighill on June 16, 1668, in his hometown. They had nine children in 20 years. He died on November 19, 1690, in Salem, Massachusetts, at the age of 47.
