Questo database consiste delle domande inoltrate dai cittadini statunitensi di permanenza in un paese straniero per un periodo di tempo prolungato.

This database consists of applications of US citizens to stay in a foreign country for an extended period of time. Applications included in this collection pertain to both native-born and naturalized American citizens. Two different applications were used depending on the citizenship type.

Information found in this collection will include:

  • name of registrant
  • consulate at which he registered
  • his date and place of birth
  • general travel data
  • names and places of birth and residence of his spouse and children
  • registrant's current place of residence

Applications may also include emigration and naturalization information on the registrant or his father when applicable. In situations where the applicant has been residing outside the United States for an extended period of time an “Affidavit to Explain Protracted Foreign Residence and to Overcome Presumption of Expatriation” should be included with the application.
